Apex, NC had 28% of the homes on the market go under contract or close last month, compared with 18% in July 2011.  This change indicates an increase of 56% for the month!   Apex Real Estate is looking strong!

The pie chart shows the percentage of new active listings (homes that went on the market), total active listings, closed listings, and homes that have gone under contract, during July, 2012.

Apex, NC had 31% of homes on the market go under contract or close last month!  Real estate is looking so strong right now in Apex it seems that residents, those relocating to, and even moving from Apex have a lot to feel good about in the real estate realm!

Apex, NC is lookin’ good(!), so naturally the town is honoring those that are good lookin’ by giving good lookin’ awards!  OK…. that’s not really what they’re called, the awards are actually called the “Spring Appearance Awards” and they recognize one commercial property and one residential property for going above and beyond to do their part to make the community beautifully attractive. 

This Spring’s residential winner went to the Village Summit Apartments for the apartments “harmonious and attractive architectural design, colors, and attention to details”.  The commercial award went to Movin’ on Movers for the “meticulously maintained mature plantings and appealing landscape design on site”.  Congratulations to both the winners!  If you don’t look good – we don’t look good (wasn’t that a commercial tagline?).  For more info or to check out photos visit the ApexNC.org website.

Apex, NC Real Estate – March 2012 Market Recap and Apex Shred Day

Residents of Apex, NC pull out those old file boxes for the Apex Shred Day on April 21st (the day before Earth Day!).  From 9 am – noon you can drop off all those unwanted confidential papers completely free of charge.  Enjoy the peice of mind that comes with knowing your sensitive documents will be shredded and your confidential papers destroyed. 

A couple of rules to note… remove paper clicks, staples, and any metal from hanging file folders and spiral bound notebooks before bringing (they will damage the shredding truck and can not be accepted) and the contents must be limited to 2 file boxes of documents with personal data (no books, magaines, newspapers or other papers that can be simply recycled).  Where is this fabulously convenient event?  The Apex, NC Town Hall at 73 Hunter Street.  For more info check out apexnc.org.

Apex, NC Real Estate – February 2012 Market Recap

Residents of Apex, NC may have noticed Old Jenks Road is under construction.  Resurfacing began March 1st and is scheduled to be completed by March 30th.  In the meantime, Holt Road offers a good alternative to get to almost everywhere on the Charleston Village side and W. Williams Street, Apex Peakway, N. Salem Street and Davis Drive are good alternatives on the Castlewood side.  Looking forward to the nice new, smooth Old Jenks Road in the near future!
