OPA! The Greek Festival is this week-end in Raleigh NC…

Free admission to the Greek Festival in Raleigh NC

It’s that time of the year again.  It’s time for the Greek Festival here in Raleigh NC.

I love the Greek Festival!  It’s one of my favorite things to support…  Ok, I’ll admit that I am of Greek decent, but you don’t have to be Greek to have fun at the festival!  I love the energy and atmosphere of the event and seeing people of all ages enjoying themselves!

This year marks the 32nd year that the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church has been putting on this fundraiser.  And as you can well imagine anything that’s survived for 32 years must be a success.  Part of this year’s proceeds (again) will go to Habitat for Humanity which is another wonderful organization which we too support. My favorite a real Greek salad!

The menu looks like it has a few new items this year tooCheck out all the mouth watering Greek food you can choose from! Be sure to save room for everyone’s favorite desert ~ baklava

Be sure to bring a little cash because it’s fun after dinner to meander around the marketplace... You’ll find all sorts or authentic Greek goodies; from art to trinkets and bead, Greek spices and cheeses and even a Greek cookbook or two!

The 32nd annual Greek Festival begins today at 5 PM and runs through Sunday.

It’s held at the Expo Center, NC State Fairgrounds.

I sure hope to see you out and about at the fairgrounds this week-end!

Cary Lazy Daze Festival August 24th, 2013

It’s that time of the year again…  come join us and about 60,000 other folks as we all enjoy the 37th Annual Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival of 2013!  It is one of my favorite things to do in Cary NC.

Saturday, August 24, 2013
9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Downtown Cary

Featuring some of THE BEST artists from across NC as well as the nation, you won’t want to miss this years Cary Lazy Daze in Downtown Cary, NC.   You’ll find art, entertainment, exhibits, and all kinds of foods to sample and enjoy!

Every year as summer starts its slow decent to fall, we look forward to the excitement, exhibits, and entertainment that Cary Lazy Daze has to offer.  What a great way to welcome the change of seasons with neighbors, co-workers, friends, family, acquaintances (and heck, even people you don’t know) by joining in this fun-filled tradition in historic Downtown Cary.

Today is forecast to be in the low 80’s here in Cary, NC to make for a PERFECT day for some fun in the sun in downtown at the Cary, NC Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival.

The Festival will also feature entertainment on TWO stages and some of the finest arts and craftsman in the country – we will undoubtedly LOVE their handiwork!
We have had such over the years at this event, we thought you’d enjoy a quick video to help get you in the mood!

For more information visit www.townofcary.org.

We hope to see you there!
